Networked Governance – Operational & Practical

I have developed 5 key success criteria for user adoption and most start very early in the process. We reviewed these points with the members of IntraNetwork in Paris at a hands-on work session. Several members were currently rolling out huge new intranets and the discussion was lively and full of real examples.

EICIM – European Internal Communication & Intranet Meeting took place the 5th and 6th of October, 2011, in Warsaw. (2017 note: links no longer active.Overall, it was an excellent intranet  & internal communication conference-  a first class event with international and Polish speakers.

The conference finished with a round table discussion led by a Polish TV journalist who took us into the “human territory of ‘enterprise 2.0’ ” and triggered some thought-provoking discussions from the audience and the round table speakers. (more…)

Which stakeholders lead social initiatives inside?

HR and Business may be slow to take off, but they pump up the volume as time goes by!

Communication and IT tend to lead at the beginning. They have been the “starter stakeholder” when it comes to social media. A 5-year perspective (data from the  “Global Intranet Trends” 2010 survey)  show that the longer the enterprise has had internal social media, the more both Business and HR are more involved. Governance in the digital workplace – the issues

(Updated with minor edits: Aug 2014) A sure sign that the digital workplace is on the fast lane in a lot of people’s minds is that well over 120 people came to my workshop on intranet governance at Congres Intranet 2011 in Utrecht. I could not believe my eyes. It was an exciting moment and I only regret that we had too little time to dig in and too many people to interact. (more…)
