Report reader feedback:
|
“Of particular interest was the observation that many class 1 & 2 organisations are behind in Web 2.0 implementation, the situation in our organisation confirms this and I would hypothesise that it is because implementation of these tools in a co-ordinated enterprise wide manner takes longer than simply standing up disconnected instances of them.”

The Global Intranet Analysis Report
This 183-page report provides detailed, segmented charts and commentary to help you understand where you are at today, and what you might want to include in your on-going strategy.
Topic analysis
The main section of the report is made up of analysis and commentary supported by 150 charts.
Price: 1175 US $ (approximately 800 euros or 600 £).
The analysis of the intranets is based on several different angles of segmentation:
- The first is the degree to which the intranet is the way of working today. Based on the survey data, 3 classes have been defined and compared: Class 1 where the intranet already is the way of working, Class 2 where it will be in 1 or 2 years, and Class 3 where it will be in 3 to 4 or more years.
- A second angle of analysis is the senior management perception of the role of the intranet : business critical-very useful, useful, and neutral-indifferent.
- A third angle is the existence or not of two strategy tools: a documented intranet or portal strategy and a decision-making steering committee.
Strategy planning and senior management awareness
The report contains sections that can be used to plan strategy and to increase senior management awareness. The following pages will help you identify action areas based on data and analysis from the survey. Specifically:
- The Intranet status snapshot - a one-page consolidated snapshot of where intranets are at today.
- A 5-minute senior management assessment sheet with 12 strategic questions.
- A 3-page description of 10 key action areas correlated to the 12 questions in the assessment.
- The 10-page Intranet and Portal Highlights section from the Global Intranet Trends report (included in the Appendices).
Insights and firsthand viewpoints
The detailed report data and commentary are enhanced by firsthand experiences. Practices, insights and viewpoints from the participating organisations are reproduced, organised by topic.
